Both as a blogger & editor, I chuckle 9in a good hearted way) when I see these types of posts (not going to tell you why because you specifically said show don't tell ;))

Write whatever floats your boat, I would say - if I had been scared or feared criticism, I wouldn't still be writing in the topics I do
