Ha ha - I am a non native English speaker here in the US - I have never been good at small talk which is the crux of most conversations - I like to get to the point without any time wasting and for the sake of efficiency - however, I find that in my home country I am an odd duck because people prefer long convuluted conversations - even a routine visit to the bank has become a pain in the neck
