I recall once going to a beach in Miami and spending time just drawing stuff in the wet sand - I knew it would be washed away - and yet it made me a little sad - kind of philosophical in fact - now we are here and then we are not - how ephemeral time is and all that - this happened several years ago but I haven't been able to let go of the emotions associated with it....
