Couple of things that stood out - in my culture, it is quite common for the father to refer to his wife and the children's mom as mama/mom/mummy and for the mom to refer to him as the kid's father or daddy - might sound a bit weird but that's how it is - I'm so used to ppl calling me my nick name, tbh my given name sounds a bit alien when I hear it

The good thing about living here is everyone refers you by name, almost everyone has a nickname like a Robert is Bob and Olivia is Liv and so on - I prefer it that way
