Back in the old country, cell phone use is strictly not allowed in classes (at least from what I hear) but I left a long time ago so am not sure if they have changed the rules -

Given that cellphones are here to stay, I would still say it is a big distraction - unless I turn the notifications off, it is pinging all these gazillion notifications ...it can be seriously overwhelming...
