Agree - I was out to lunch with two friends and we got along famously - couple of days later one friend is telling me about something the other friend did that offended her - and so on - I was like whaaat? Didn't we all just have a delightful outing?

In my opinion, I think ppl can perceive whether a person is just being nice or kind - and form their judgments - I also think ppl can gauge if a person is acting or trying too hard in such things
